Prieviet Moscow, Russia

After 15 hours of flying, I landed in Moscow, Russia with my Father. As I stepped outside, I   was stunned by the cold, it felt like I had suffered a fiere right hook from Muhhmed Ali. Its currently 4 degrees, “In the land of the Czar”

We drove past snow covered fields, tall apartment buildings, Coca Cola advertisements and even a  Mcdonalds, with its familiar golden arch logo, but unfamiliar Russian script under.

The ghosts of Russia’s history lingered like the frosty air, passing marvelous onion domed Orthodox Cathedrals, remnants walled government compounds from the Soviet Union, still bearing the infamous hammer and sickle emblem. Russia’s famous Kremlin is down the road from the hotel.

I am looking forward  to this time I get to spend with my Father, along with plunging   myself in Russia’s culture and covering some Russian Hockey, which during the NHL lock out has plenty of NHL stars.

Stay tuned for updates about this trip. I hope you are all having a warm holiday so far.
